So today, we celebrate International Women’s Day and stand by our women in the construction business.
International Women’s Day 2024 Campaign Theme
Imagine a gender-equal world, free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is more equitable and inclusive, even in markets and places where maybe the traditional woman doesn’t always “belong.” Together, we can forge women’s equality and inspire inclusion, which is what this day is all about.
Celebrating women’s achievement. Raising awareness about discrimination. Taking action to bring genders together.
With over a century of history and change, the first International Women’s Day (IWD) was held in March 1911. IWD isn’t country, group, or organization-specific, but is a day of collective global activism and celebration that belongs to all those committed to forging women’s equality.
The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is Inspire Inclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we form partnerships and relationships. We build union and trust.
And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment!
So, this year, we want to think about how collectively we can forge a more inclusive world for women.
At Inks Installations, the dedication and hard work of our female colleagues does not go unnoticed. This day gives us a chance to voice appreciation for each of their contributions, which is at the very heart of our operations.
Employment in the construction industry as a whole may be viewed as more male dominated, but as of 2020, women accounted for more than 1.2 million employed in the industry.
It’s time to acknowledge their skills, determination, and the substantial difference they make in our everyday operations and the overall success of the company. Indeed, International Women’s Day at Inks Installations is a day of recognition, appreciation, and motivation for continuous growth and success.
The Women Behind Inks Installations
Inks Installations wouldn’t be what it is today without the hard work and dedication of its women workforce. They span across various roles and responsibilities, adding value with their diverse skill sets and perspectives.
Here is just a snapshot of our Inks Installations all-star women:
Cyndie: Cyndie is our roofing project manager. She runs and schedules roof repair and installation jobs and has a crew of 10 people (or more) to keep in line. She has worked at Inks for 4 years now and we are so lucky to have her on our team!
Tiffany: Part designer and part executor, Tiffany is one of the masterminds and hard workers behind our high-end bathroom remodel crew. She helps customers design their dream bathrooms using CAD drawings, and she does more than just design… Tiffany specializes in grout work and painting as well! She has been with our team for one year and we look forward to many more to come.
Patty: Patty is our financial controller for the company. She keeps up with our books… and so much more. Thank you Patty for all that you do!
Janeen: Janeen is the office manager… do we need to say more? The office and staff couldn’t run quite as efficiently, effectively, and as happily if it wasn’t for her hand behind the scenes. The office wouldn’t be the same without you Janeen!
Karen and Barb: These two are crucial helpers with just about anything that needs to be done. Both serve as executive secretaries helping ensure seamless operations, organization, and smooth functioning of day-to-day office activities. Thank you, Karen and Barb!
From project managers to administrative personnel, designers, and more…these women each help drive our company forward. They are behind the scenes (and in front) for every one of our home renovation, repair, or remodel projects and are an indispensable part of our operations. The women in administrative roles at Inks Installations not only lead the charge, but they also set the pace, contributing significantly to our company’s overall success and our client’s happiness.
